Attorney and cybersecurity expert Jennifer Mulvihill will join the Jewelers’ Security Alliance (JSA) as president, succeeding John Kennedy, who is retiring after 33 years.
Mulvihill will be the first woman to head the JSA in 141 years, the group said Monday. She previously served as senior director at the corporate-investigation firm Kroll, and she has extensive experience in cybersecurity, nonprofit organizations, insurance, corporate consulting and education.
“JSA has a remarkable crime team, and Jennifer has the talent and experience not only to help advance JSA’s traditional effectiveness, but to lead the organization in new paths as the jewelry industry faces a threatening array of growing hi-tech crime,” noted JSA chairman Alan Zimmer.
The JSA Board also announced that vice president Scott Guginsky had been promoted to executive vice president after 12 years in his current role.
Guginsky’s work “has been central to JSA’s growth and success,” added Zimmer. “With this new leadership team, JSA’s board is confident that the organization has a bright future.”
