Frederick Goldman has promoted two employees to top executive roles as part of its leadership evolution.

As chief operating officer, Bryan Cowan will oversee the company’s operations, including manufacturing, distribution, information technology (IT), planning and international operations, Frederick Goldman said last week. He previously held leadership roles across independent sales, operations, US manufacturing, product development and sourcing, the company explained.

“[Cowan] has taken on increasingly broad responsibilities across Frederick Goldman, and has proven himself in each of those roles,” said Jonathan Goldman, chairman and CEO of the US-based jewelry manufacturer. “His experience now spans sales, product development, sourcing and operations, giving him a strong understanding of our customers and how the business works.”

Meanwhile, Tom Schwartz will be chief marketing officer, overseeing marketing, merchandising and customer care, while continuing to share responsibility for independent sales.

“[Schwartz] brings tremendous knowledge of our company, customers and industry,” Goldman continued. “Bringing merchandising, marketing and customer care together creates alignment from product development through the customer experience, while providing important continuity as we move forward.”

The promotions coincide with the departure of Frederick Goldman president John Orrico after more than 13 years with the company.

“We have an experienced leadership team, a clear direction and a strong commitment to our retail partners,” Goldman added. “Our focus now is execution.”
