The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) has reelected Gaetano Cavalieri, who stood unopposed, as its president.
The General Assembly took place at the conclusion of the group’s Centenary Congress, it said Monday. The summit ran between September 4 and 7 in Vicenza, Italy.
The organization chose Jonathan Kendall, Kenneth Scarratt and Pramod Agrawal as vice presidents for another term, and Marc-Alain Christen as treasurer and chief financial officer.
CIBJO elected the following members to the board of directors:
Charles Abouchar (Switzerland), Nilam Alawdeen (Japan), Uri Ariel (Canada), Vaishali Banerjee (India), Moti Besser (Israel), Kirit Bhai Bhansali (India), Jacques C. Branellec (Philippines), Bruce Bridges (US), Marco Carniello (Italy), Victor Chan (Hong Kong/China), Anouchka Didier Mansour (France), John Henn (UK), Guido Grohmann (Germany), Wesley Hunt (UK), Noora Jamsheer (Bahrain), Patrick Loetscher (Switzerland), Francesca Manfredi (Italy), John Mulligan (UK), Nicholas Paspaley (Australia), Pritesh Patel (US), Bernadette Pinet Quoc (France), Sumed Prasongpongchai (Thailand), Mehul Shah (India), Alice Vanni (Italy), and Kent Wong (Hong Kong/China).
The commission presidents are:
Charles Abouchar – Colored Stone Commission
Udi Sheintal – Diamond Commission
Kenneth Scarratt – Pearl Commission
Claudio Milisenda – Gemmological Commission
Vaishali Banerjee – Precious Metal Commission
The organization also appointed officers to, among other positions, the President’s Council, Legal Committee, Ethics Commission and Laboratory-Grown Diamond Committee.
