RAPAPORT… In these times of more subdued fashion choices, the Paris runways — Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent and Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton — referenced grunge. The designers took the textures, unexpected mix of patterns and oversize pieces that define grunge and made them upscale chic for fall/winter 2013/2014. Fine jewelry that fits the grunge look needs to have a vintage feel, or the impression that it is a found object with a story to tell.
