Brilliant Earth Ends Dispute with YouTuber

RAPAPORT… Brilliant Earth has terminated legal proceedings against
Jacob Avital, an online critic of the ethical-diamond supplier, after a
three-month defamation case.



Avital, who runs a jewelry resale business, published a
video on YouTube in April, calling into question Brilliant Earth’s claims to
offer conflict-free stones. Brilliant Earth sued him in the Supreme Court of
the State of New York in July, demanding he end the “false, vicious and
relentless internet smear campaign.”


The two parties agreed to end the action, according to a
court filing last week.
