RAPAPORT… Jewelers International Showcase (JIS), an organizer of trade events, will launch two rebranded industry fairs in Miami Beach next year, scheduling the shows in line with seasonality of demand.
JIS Spring, previously called JIS March, will take place from March 13 to 15, 2022, it said in a recent statement. This will give retailers time to assess their inventory needs following the holidays and Valentine’s Day, while also enabling them to restock ahead of Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and the graduation and wedding seasons, JIS explained.
Meanwhile, JIS Fall, previously JIS October, will run from September 30 to October 3, 2022, just ahead of the holiday season.
Registration from buyers for JIS events has increased 16% over the past year, while in the New York metropolitan area, the figure is 75%, the organization noted.
