A 5.98-carat sapphire will lead the upcoming Sotheby’s sale in New York, where it will carry a high estimate of $550,000.
The unmounted cushion-cut Kashmir sapphire will be offered without reserve at the June 4 Fine Jewelry sale, according to the auction house’s website.
More than 290 lots will be on offer, including jewels from maisons such as Graff, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Cartier.

An unmounted emerald-cut, 5.64-carat Colombian emerald.

A ring centering an emerald-cut, 4.20-carat, fancy-vivid-yellow, VVS2-clarity diamond between two emerald-cut diamonds of 1.07 and 1.08 carats.

A pair of earrings bearing a square emerald-cut, 5.01-carat, J, VVS2 and a square emerald-cut, 5.02-carat, I, VVS1 diamond.

A Harry Winston ring with a pear-shaped, 6.72-carat, D, VS2 diamond between a pair of tapered-baguette diamonds.

This ring features a cushion-cut, 5.01-carat, E, VS1 diamond with the shoulders enhanced by round diamonds.

An unmounted octagonal step-cut, 6.97-carat Ceylon sapphire, offered without reserve.

This ring stars a cushion modified brilliant-cut, 1.56-carat, fancy-deep-orange diamond.

Another unmounted sapphire, this one an oval-shaped, 11.84-carat Ceylon stone.

A ring centering an emerald-cut, 9.10-carat, K, VS1 diamond, with about 4 carats of baguette diamonds on the shank.
