Natural-Pearl Necklace to Lead Sotheby’s Important Jewels Sale

A Cartier natural-pearl necklace will be the star of an upcoming auction at Sotheby’s in Geneva, where it is expected to fetch up to CHF 300,000 ($347,513). 

The necklace, comprising five graduated rows of round, roundish, and oval natural pearls with a button-shaped pearl clasp, will feature at the November 15 Important Jewels sale, according to the auction house.

In addition to an array of rare colored gemstones, the auction will also showcase jewels from well-known design houses, including Van Cleef & Arpels, Hemmerle, Verdura, Buccellati, and Bulgari.

This Verdura ring features a cushion modified brilliant-cut, 5.40-carat, fancy-intense-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond above an oval-shaped, 3.69-carat, E-color, VS1-clarity white diamond. It is estimated to realize up to CHF 110,000 ($127,373).

A bracelet set with oval rubies and embellished with pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds is expected to sell for CHF 70,000 to CHF 110,000 ($81,058 to $127,373).
