Gina D’Onofrio has returned to Heritage Auctions after a two-year absence to take on the role of codirector of fine jewelry.
“The lure of auctions proved irresistible, leading me straight back to Heritage,” she noted.
D’Onofrio, who has worked in the retail, auction and manufacturing sectors of the industry for over 30 years, first joined Heritage in 2016 as director of fine jewelry. She left that position in 2022 to focus on her independent appraisal business, which she started in 2000, Heritage said Tuesday.
A certified master appraiser, D’Onofrio has received Los Angeles Magazine’s Best in LA award for her jewelry appraisal services, the auction house noted. She will work in the company’s California office.
“[Gina’s] knowledge of jewelry and skills in assisting buyers and sellers are second to none,” said Heritage managing director Ed Beardsley.
Hertiage’s fine-jewelry department also includes Jill Burgum, who is executive director of fine jewelry, and consignment director Ana Wroblaski.
