Chow Tai Fook jewelry brand Hearts on Fire has appointed Rita Maltez as global president, tasked with leading commercial and business strategies and growing the company’s market presence.
Maltez, who has worked in executive positions at diamond miner Rio Tinto, became acting global president at Hearts on Fire in 2021, the company said last week. She also is the founder of Bravva Consulting, where she worked with international brands including the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and Swarovski.
“As we continue building upon the momentum that Hearts on Fire has set in motion, I’m confident that Rita’s unparalleled industry experience, accomplished track record, and proven leadership will further strengthen and advance the Hearts on Fire brand and teams around the world,” said Sonia Cheng, vice chairman of Chow Tai Fook.
Maltez will report directly to Cheng.
