Fancy-Colored Diamond Ring to Star at Sotheby’s London

Sotheby’s will offer a fancy-brown-pink diamond ring at its upcoming jewelry sale in London, giving it a price tag of up to GBP 200,000 ($268,131). 

The ring features a modified octagonal step-cut, 3.23-carat, fancy-brown-pink, VVS1-clarity diamond, set with old brilliant- and step-cut stones. It will lead the Fine Jewelry sale, which runs from May 20 to June 3.  

Pieces from famous designers such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Bulgari will also be on offer.

This toi et moi ring bears a cushion-cut, 3.88-carat Burmese ruby and an oval-cut diamond, set in a band with brilliant-cut stones. It has an upper estimate of GBP 180,000 ($241,349).

This piece from the late 19th century features a pendant with an oval-cut, 11.44-carat Ceylon sapphire surrounded by cushion-shaped diamonds, and graduated cushion-shaped diamonds in pinched collect settings along the necklace. It is expected to fetch up to GBP 150,000 ($201,138).

A choker from the early 20th century has a plaque set with rose-cut diamonds, suspending a large pear-shaped diamond in an openwork surround of old brilliant-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, as well as 12 rows of pearls. Boasting 44 carats of diamonds, it has a top price of GBP 150,000 ($201,138).

Sotheby’s will offer this ring containing a cushion modified brilliant-cut, 20.04-carat, fancy-light-yellow, VVS2-clarity diamond for as much as GBP 150,000 ($201,138).
