Poly Auction to Showcase Pink-Diamond Ring

Poly Auction will offer a pink diamond ring estimated to fetch up to HKD 18 million ($2.3 million) at its upcoming mixed-luxury sale in Hong Kong.

The pear-shaped, 5.02-carat, fancy-pink, VS1-clarity ring will lead the Magnificent Jewels section of the sale, which will take place from April 7 to 9, Poly Auction said Wednesday. The sale will comprise a mix of luxury items including modern and contemporary art, Chinese ceramics, paintings and calligraphy, jewelry, watches, and handbags.

A number of high-value timepieces will also go under the hammer, including a Patek Philippe Automatic Perpetual Calendar, a Rolex set with diamonds and rubies, and a Jaeger-Lecoultre.

Here are some of the other top jewels that will feature at the auction:

This ring contains a 5.03-carat, pigeon’s blood Burmese ruby surrounded by diamonds. It is predicted to bring in as much as HKD 18 million
($2.3 million) at the auction.
A set of jadeite and diamond jewelry, which includes a necklace with 15 jadeite cabochons, a ring and a pair of earrings, has a presale estimate of HKD 10 million to HKD 15 million ($1.3 million to $1.9 million).
Poly Auction will offer this 30.14-carat Burmese sapphire and diamond ring for HKD 6.5 million to HKD 9.5 million ($830,823 to $1.2 million).
A necklace set with 32 Burmese rubies weighing a total of 32.99 carats will also go up for auction. The piece, which has a pigeon’s blood Burmese ruby main stone of over 2 carats as well as marquise and pear-shaped diamonds, has a price range of HKD 3.5 million to HKD 5.5 million ($447,368 to $703,006).
