Pandora has named Paulo Garcia as its new chief financial officer, to succeed Anders Boyer, who is retiring.
Garcia was most recently chief financial officer of Walmart’s Mexico and Central America business, known as Walmex, Pandora said last week. Previously, he held the same position at retail company Ahold Delhaize.
“[Garcia] joins us with an excellent track record and deep financial expertise from senior roles in the consumer-goods industry,” said Pandora CEO Berta de Pablos-Barbier. “He combines commercial and financial acumen with a strong focus on people and culture, while also bringing experience in digital transformation and the application of AI [artificial intelligence] across business processes, making him the ideal candidate to further strengthen and build on Pandora’s financial performance.”
The new hire will join Pandora on October 1 and assume his executive role on December 1. During the two months prior to taking on the position, he will overlap with Boyer, who will officially retire on November 30 but continue to oversee the transition until March 31.
