Pandora has introduced a new creative platform, Pandora Wonders, which will see it partner annually with a leading designer to produce unique jewelry pieces.
British stylist Harry Lambert debuted Act I, a limited-edition collection of pieces featuring natural pearls, the jeweler said last week. The line comprises dangle charms designed from freshwater baroque pearls. To maintain each pearl’s uniqueness, Pandora’s craftspeople used a precise micro-piercing technique before hand-setting the gems and applying a 14- karat gold plating, it explained.
Lambert is known for styling celebrities such as Harry Styles, Emma Corrin and Alexander Skarsgård.
The multiyear initiative will involve partnerships with creative collaborators who will reinterpret a signature material through a contemporary lens, resulting in distinctive collections, the jeweler added.
“Great design starts with great materials,” said Pandora chief production officer Philippa Newman. “With Pandora Wonders, we’re exploring the beauty and character of iconic jewelry materials through the eyes of leading creative voices. It’s about reimagining timeless materials in a way that feels fresh, expressive and unmistakably Pandora.”
Pandora Wonders will launch during Paris Haute Couture Week on July 7, while a dedicated Café Nuances pop-up will run in Paris’s Le Marais district from July 8 to 11. The collection will also be available in limited quantities on July 8 at select Pandora stores and online, following exclusive early access at Dover Street Market London from July 7.
