The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) has reelected Edward Asscher, founder of Royal Asscher Diamond Company, as vice chair of its board of directors.
The council voted in the new management at its 2026 annual general meeting (AGM), the RJC said last week. Asscher, who has been in the role for the past four years, will serve another term.
The newly appointed leadership will guide the RJC’s strategic direction, governance oversight and ongoing development.
“Strong governance and member engagement remain central to RJC’s work and long-term ambition,” said RJC chair Dave Meleski. “These appointments reflect the voice of our membership and bring valuable expertise and perspectives to the RJC as we continue supporting the responsible growth and evolution of our industry.”
