Indian sentiment low amid tariffs, Middle East war. India Feb. polished exports -1% YOY to $1.1B after returns; rough imports +8% to $799M. Dubai, Israel at standstill. Fancies:
Long fancy shapes such as Ovals, Marquises and Emeralds doing better than rounds in 2 ct. and larger. High-quality Marquises, long Radiants and long Cushions in short supply. Marquise is most expensive fancy shape. Long Cushions easy to sell and trading at 20% to 25% premium over square ones. Solid US market for elongated Ovals of good shape and quality in D-I, VS-SI categories. Indian prices for 0.30 to 0.79 ct. Ovals and Pears softening, except for ideal long models. Princess cuts weak. Very well-cut fancy shapes difficult to find and commanding premiums. Fancies with bad proportions illiquid.

Israel
Market quiet due to war. Few dealers attending diamond exchange. Imports and exports limited amid shortage of flights. February polished exports down 18% year on year at $318.4 million after returns, rough imports down 39% at $36.9 million.
India
Overseas demand slow. Tariffs and Iran war causing concern. Some demand from Hong Kong, but not enough to kick-start market. Buyers only purchasing for immediate orders.
Hong Kong
2 ct. and larger diamonds in long fancy shapes are bestsellers, with marquises in tight supply. Bridal demand for rounds focused on G-J, VS-SI, eye-clean diamonds with GIA reports. Princesses out of fashion. Consumers switching to synthetics for stones under 1 ct. due to budget concerns. Mainland seeing some e-commerce demand for 0.30 to 0.50 ct. diamonds.
