Fine-art auctioneer and valuer Roseberys London has named Kate Lacey as its new watch specialist.
In 2021, Lacey launched The Shrew, a platform that promotes inclusivity in watch collecting, especially for women, the company said last week. She joined Roseberys a year later as a consultant before becoming a permanent member of the team. Lacey brings more than two decades of experience to the role, having previously managed the watch departments at Bonhams, Phillips and Sotheby’s.
In her new position, Lacey will be leading the company’s Watches & Luxury Items sales, which will run quarterly alongside the jewelry auctions.
“[Lacey’s] knowledge of the market and track record in selling important timepieces will strengthen Roseberys’s position as a serious destination for collectors,” said managing director Ben Griffiths. “Following the growing success of our jewelry sales, we are excited for the future as we continue to expand and strengthen our presence in the luxury market with our Watch & Luxury Items sales.”
