Natural Pearl Necklace to Lead Sotheby’s Important Jewels Sale

A Cartier natural pearl necklace will be the star of an upcoming auction at Sotheby’s in Geneva, where it is expected to fetch up to CHF 300,000 ($347,513). 

The necklace, comprising five graduated rows of round, roundish, and oval natural pearls with a button-shaped pearl clasp will feature at the November 15 Important Jewels sale, according to the auction house.

In addition to an array of rare colored gemstones, the auction also will showcase jewels from well-known design houses including Van Cleef & Arpels, Hemmerle, Verdura, Buccellati, and Bulgari.

This step-cut, 3.53-carat Colombian emerald ring with trapeze-shaped diamond shoulders is going for up to CHF 160,000 ($185,319). 
A pendant featuring a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, 1.22-carat, fancy-orangey-pink diamond within a rotating double border, set with oval and pear-shaped fancy-yellow and fancy-light-yellow diamonds carries a top estimate of CHF 160,000 ($185,319).   
A Cartier step-cut, 5.33-carat, F-color, VVS1-clarity diamond ring set between bifurcated diamond shoulders and decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds is expected to bring in CHF 100,000 to CHF 150,000 ($115,823 to $173,735).
This necklace set throughout with 36.29 carats of oval- and cushion-shaped Burmese rubies and enhanced with princess, brilliant-cut, and triangular diamonds could fetch as much as CHF 150,000 ($173,735).  
A brilliant-cut, 5.91-carat diamond ring with a claw setting has a presale estimate of CHF 100,000 to CHF 140,000 ($115,823 to $162,165).  
An unmounted step-cut diamond weighing 5.17 carats, with D color and internally flawless clarity, has an upper price of CHF 120,000 ($139,053). 
This Verdura ring features a cushion modified brilliant-cut, 5.40-carat, fancy-intense-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond above an oval-shaped, 3.69-carat, E-color, VS1-clarity white diamond. It is estimated to realize up to CHF 110,000 ($127,373). 
This circular-cut, 9.56-carat Paraiba tourmaline ring flanked by tapered baguette diamonds has a high price of CHF 110,000 ($127,373). 
A bracelet set with oval rubies and embellished with pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds is expected to sell for CHF 70,000 to CHF 110,000 ($81,058 to $127,373).
