Bonhams will showcase a 17.19-carat diamond ring at its upcoming Paris Jewels sale, where it is expected to fetch up to EUR 120,000 ($131,813).

The brilliant-cut, VS1-clarity diamond solitaire ring, circa 1953, is one of 174 lots to be featured at the October 23 sale the auction house’s French affiliate, Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr, the company said Monday. Another highlight of the auction is a Cartier jeweled desk clock, circa 1930, adorned with coral, mother-of-pearl, and enamel. It carries a high estimate of EUR 180,000 ($197,773).

“Paris Jewels features a wonderful selection of highly sought-after pieces that showcase exceptional designs, stones, and craftsmanship,” said Marine Girardet, head of jewelry for the company in France. “Bonhams will be allowing the prestigious jewelry institution Haute École de Joaillerie exclusive access to the jewels on October 19, where the students will create bespoke gouache drawings of some of the notable lots. The gouache drawings will be included with the accompanying lots at the auction.”

The sale will also include pieces from renowned jewelers such as Cartier, Boucheron, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Buccellati, and Christian Dior, Bonhams added.
