De Beers and Rosy Blue are among the companies that Diamonds Do Good (DDG) will honor at its awards ceremony in Las Vegas in June.

“The Diamond Do Good Awards recognize leaders who understand the interconnectedness between building a successful business, having a social purpose and caring for community,” said DDG president Anna Martin. “Each honoree exemplifies the tenet that ‘Doing Good Is Good Business.’”

DDG’s top honor, the GOOD Award, will go to De Beers, while the Visionary Award will be given to Indian diamond manufacturer Rosy Blue. Jeweler Valérie Messika will be the recipient of the NextGen Award, and designer Lorraine West will get the Inspiration Award.

The organization will present the honors at its annual gala on June 1 at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas, the night before the opening of the JCK Las Vegas show, it said Sunday.

“The recipients of these awards reflect the importance of engaging community around the world,” added DDG cofounder Benjamin Chavis, Jr. “Now more than ever we need to reaffirm and share this commitment with consumers everywhere.”
