Podcast: What’s New at Hancocks

May 21, 2024   |  Jewelry Connoisseur Team

The venerable London dealer’s managing director, Guy Burton, takes us on a tour of the upgraded premises, where historical grandeur meets innovative retail experience.

Hancocks has moved to a new address at 62 St. James’s Street, taking over a Georgian building to offer more spacious galleries to host its offering, which ranges from antique diamonds to contemporary custom pieces, through exclusive vintage jewels. The London institution will give customers the opportunity to explore the displays, spread across three floors, in a relaxed manner, says Guy Burton.

The managing director, who is an expert in antique cuts and admits a special penchant for Asschers, discusses the company’s vision for this new phase on the latest episode of the Jewelry Connoisseur podcast.

Topics Burton covers include customers’ preferences, the demand for old cuts, and how Hancocks’ new environment will be “a celebration of the past to showcase our experience, knowledge and passion for jewelry and gemstones.”
